Bee pollen contains many minerals like potassium, magnesium, titanium, silver, zinc, copper, chromium, vanadium, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, gallium, zirconium, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, calcium, iron, aluminium, barium. Fresh pollen contains: 20-40% proteins; 30-60% of sugars in the form of nectar carbohydrates; vitamin C, B1, B2, B5, B6, B8, E; provitamin A, folic acid, biotin, tocopherol; enzymes; antibiotic agents; mineral substances; biologically active substances; lipids, aromatics and pigment substances. An important constituent of pollen cells is carbohydrates. Identified are glucose, fructose, sucrose, arabinose, ribose, galactose, raffinose, stachyose, xylose, dextrin, starch, cellulose and lactose. 100g bee pollen composition consists of essential for the human body amino acids such as:

  • Arginine – an average of 4.7mg;
  • Isoleucine – 4,7mg;
  • Histidine – 1.5mg;
  • Leucine – 5.6mg;
  • Lysine – 5.7mg;
  • Methionine – 1,7mg;
  • Phenylalanine – 3,5mg;
  • Threonine – 4.6mg;
  • Tryptophan – 1.6mg;
  • Valine – 6.4mg;
  • Alanine, glycine, asparagine, glutamine, serine, proline, tyrosine, cysteine, cysteine.

 

Healing properties

Bee pollen has therapeutic effects strengthening the bone system. Its vitamin E successfully stimulates the male potency, and daily consumption reinforces the blood cells and heart function, normalizes high blood pressure and reduces bleeding. Pollen is rich in lecithin which normalises lipid metabolism and contributes to weight loss. Bee pollen has a high level of selenium that acts prophylactically in the cancer cases by triggering the organism to release its heavy metals.

Recommended use and dosage

The daily dosage for adults is 15 – 20 g dried pollen for a period of 1 to 3 months. We also recommend pollen to be consumed within the autumn-winter and spring-summer periods.

Children: 3-5 years – 5 to10 grammes daily;

Children: 6-12 years, 10-15 grammes daily;

Adults: 15-20 grammes a day.
